My co-worker/friend is having twins. Her baby shower is in a couple weeks and me and some other guests have decided to pitch in a buy her a stroller together. Now which one? Every one is saying the the Double Snap-n-go is the best stroller for twins. I used a single snap n go with my son and I loved the convenience of just popping in the car seats for quick errands. BUT for longer walks, mall, etc. I always used my other stroller and lay the seat flat(Graco Quattro stroller) and the baby would lay flat, as young as 4-6 weeks old. While I like the concept of a snap n go, and very convenient for twin parents, is it ok for the babies to be in thier car seats for so long? Like on walks or mall? Esspecially since this will be her primary stroller. I remember how my son would naturally just stretch out when I layed him flat in the stroller, I can’t imagine having him in the car seat for song long. What do you guys think? Any other twin stroller suggestions? Thanks

my friend gave me a baby trend double snap n go. I know its not the newest model. It’s thew navy colored one with the bars that you have to adjust. i don’t have the instructions. I have 2 Graco snugride 30 car seats and cannot figure out what the adjustments would be. I called the company and they said my seats are compatible. Any help would be awesome

I looked up the recaled baby items.The travel systems, car seats, swings, basinets, and play yard slash changing tables.They get the most recalls.I also hear about their recalls on the news.Putting all that aside in my own mind I when I went shoping for travel systems many time I did my own little strength test. I shook , leaned on and pulled on the items they have set out for display. I checked Graco, Evenflo, Eddie Bouer, and some other generic brands. Graco had the most unstable products, Evenflo did really well, and Eddie Bouer was the strongest . So why do people buy unsafe ?

The bouncy seats I have for my girls say they go up to 25 pounds, one of my fraternal twins is prolly about 15 lbs.(will get a better weight at their next dr. appt) but the bouncy seat material seems to sag and her body seems kinda bent forward or crunched up, like if she was in a hammock. Same for her big graco swing. Do they make places to sit the baby with more sturdy backs on them, other than car seats? I hate to use the car seats to sit them in because they are getting to the point that they can now scootch out of them unless they are buckled in. Thanx!

we are having twin babies this coming summer and I am looking at different car seats. I just learned that they will need an infant car seat and a car seat for when they are more than 30 lbs or so.

I have been looking on amazon for ones that have the best ratings etc…

is this a normal range?

are we really looking to spend over 0 on just car gear None of our friends have small babies who are ready to give away theirs. And since this is our first time as parents, I’m sure you can imagine we want to be really safe.
But I just want to make sure this is a normal price range.

any suggestions for buying gear for twin babies?

Ok, so we have purchased a newborn car seat but had a few question:

*When will he/she grow out of the newborn car seat? It’s the average infant seat?

I’ve been looking online for an infant car seat, and I would really like to get a Graco Snugride car seat. I chose one on Albeebaby.com., that is 127 dollars before shipping and tax. Last night at walmart, we decided to look at the car seats, and they had a Graco Snugride winnie the pooh design. It was 89 dollars before tax. The problem is, the material was so thin, you could see the plastic part of the car seat through it, and I stuck my hand underneath the material, and there was nothing, no padding or anything. It was like a sheet laid over plastic. Doesn’t seem to comfortable to me. But on Albee baby, the Milan style Graco Snugride says that it comes with energy absorbing foam, and gracopedic foam for Luxurious comfort. What do you think? Does it have more underneath than the model at walmart, or are they just saying that. The car seat at walmart had literally nothing underneath it, and had 2 styrafoam pads next to where the head rests, and the rest of the car seat was plastic. I don’t want to pay 127 dollars online, if its going to be as cheap as the one at walmart. Anyone have the carseat from walmart, or another graco snugride, that you can tell me what’s underneath the car seat cover? Thanks for your help.

I know this girl who has this really old gross graco car seat that is probably as old as us. I want to show her info about her car seat and prove to her its unsafe and her kid needs a new one. i can’t find any info to prove her car seats age though . Can anyone help me find the info online to prove to her her seat is old? I think the stickers are all warn off so you can’t look on the seat. I have seen her with it. But i don’t know if she has a base or not. The seat is a graco but the word graco is printed in white on the left side of the bottom of the foot fabric area. The seat is more square looking the rounder like the new ones. Its navy and has navy straps and navy fabric with white small polka dots? Can anyone help me find info about this seat to give her the info on it so that she will buy a new one for her baby.
We are both 20 and her kid is under a yr and this is an infant carrier, old Graco snugride??

Here are the features I am mostly looking for:
-fits a Graco car seat (doesn’t necessarily have to snap in but at least have special adapters/straps)
-seat fully reclines (or almost fully)
-canopy has a good coverage
-weighs less than 20 lb
-seat height (back rest) is at least 20"
-stroller max capacity of about 45-50lb
-at least 6" wheels
-stable/safe
-back closed when seat is reclined (no wind going through)

So far I’ve been considering:
Peg Perego Si (17 lb) with a weight capacity of 45lb, 6.5" wheels, 20" backrest, & excellent safety according to Consumer Reports;
Zooper Waltz (19 lb) with a weight capacity of 55lb, 6" front & 7" back wheels, 17" backrest (SHORT)
Baby Jogger City Mini (17 lb) which has a car seat adapter sold separately
First Years Indigo (22 lb – HEAVY) with a weight capacity of 50 lb, 23" backrest, and 7" front & 8" back wheels.

Which of these would be the BEST stroller? Or give me a suggestion of another stroller that I may be missing.
I’m not asking whether to get a car seat compatible lightweight stroller or not. I am getting one this weekend anyways because my daughter HATES being in strollers & LOVES car seats. And since I’m always on the go, it’s more convenient to transport the sleeping baby in the car seat. I’d like to use it instead of my heavy Graco system.
